Can You Support Yourself To Train For A Mining Job?

    Monday January 19, 2009

While you may be able to find a mining job that offers training, if you want a more advanced mining job, you will probably need to seek training yourself. This could mean a significant investment of your time, and while it may lead to a highly paid mining job, you will likely need to support yourself in the meantime. This could mean a part time job, which while you may more easily find one in a different field, you may find it more useful to look for a part time administration mining job, if possible.

By working in another part of the industry, you may find you build up useful contacts. Obviously without training you will likely only be able to get data entry work or general office assistant work, but if you were training for an engineering mining job or similar, you might also be able to get into contact with the engineering division of the mining company and possibly find part time work there. Essentially, if you need to support yourself while training for a more advanced mining job, then it can be worthwhile considering part time work within the mining industry now in order to build up contacts for the future.
